i am that girl who swore she would never own a pair of ugg boots, because i thought they were hideous and obscenely expensive. after spending last fall/ winter with frozen toes at football games and walking to class, i caved. i agree with everyone who’s said they run large. i usually wear a 9.5 street shoe, but the 8 fits fine. my toes don’t rub or anything. i love that the style is so versatile; you can tie it high and wear it like a normal calf boot or tie is lower and let it be open on the sides. however, with this boot, you get what you pay for. i’ve definitely seen worse quality. the thing that bothers me most is the wool on the inside. it pills and sheds and sticks to my pants, and i don’t think it looks all that great. if you have the money i’d probably pay the extra and get the “hipper” instead; they seem to be better made.
i just got mine i bought it yesterday and got it today! i wear size 8 but like other girls said i bought 1 size smaller. it fits real good. i love em.it is exactly looks like the picture here. i hope you will enjoy too.
Love these boots way more than uggs, the tie up detail makes all the difference, not only does it add a nice touch looks wise, but it’s also great for those of us with bigger calves

Had to go half a size up, I love this boot- but had to send back the 6.5 because it was way too tight- I went half a size up to a 7 and there is more room for my toes and the boot shaft is not as tight too.
These boots are gorgeous! The workmanship is what you would expect from Frye and the style does not let you down either. The boots look great with skirts and jeans so you can expect to get a lot of use out of them for the price.

This is a sweet boot at a terrific price, but I couldn’t zip up at the top of the calf and the shoe itself felt about 1/2 too small. If your foot is between 7 and 7.5 and your calf closer to 14″ than 15″, try it.

These shoes are great for the style, price, and fit. I have been looking for affordable, good quality, low wedge boots for a long time, so I was ecstatic when I found these! They fit really well, and I like the adjustable buckle on the sides which allows them to be flexible for different calf sizes. My only gripe is that sometimes they hurt the tops of my toes when I’m walking for longer periods of time, but overall, they are very comfortable.
Very comfy for long walks
I think this boot is nice, but a bit expensive. I tried the cognac color and didn’t like the leather. I ordered the grey suede and at first it seemed to have discoloration issues but it might be the way the suede is brushed. I will have to play with it. I think it’s best to wait until these go on sale as I am sure they will.
This is a great boot and a wonderful price. The color is fantastic! (I got the camel color).
love this boot…simple, classic design and very comfortable for walking.
My only complaint has nothing to do with the boot itself. When I went out over the weekend, I noticed three other women wearing the exact same boot. Not a big deal, but if you prefer something a little more unique, this is not the boot for you.

I think the boot has a simple, classic style. Some people may think the leather is thin and looks a little cheap, but I thought it was fine. There were a half size too small for me or I would have kept them.
Great Boots!
I finally bought these boots in tan color after obsessing over them for a long time. Like most Steve Madden shoes, I had to order 1/2 size up, which wasn’t surprising since I already know that SM shoes tend to run small. They fit very comfortably. Easy to put on, despite the lack of zipper. I wore them with my skinny jeans tucked in, and they are super comfy and look very stylish. People on the street asked me where I’ve gotten them several times. I walked around in them, and my feet only start hurting toward the very end of the day (probably after 6 hours of walking around!!). Love them!!
Im not quite sure why people are giving these boots negative marks because they are fabulous. I read many people complaining that they slouch. Well…I am able to wear mine either straight up or wear them slouchy. Im not sure why other people are having problems with figuring this out. There is a buckle on the side so you can adjust to make them fitted or slouchy. I get compliments from these boots EVERY time I wear them. They are worth the price. My leather looks great and I’ve had them for months. They don’t look cheap and both the black and the cognac are the perfect shade. I originally bought the boot by Loeffler Randall which are twice as much. I ended up returning them after I tried these on. I thought these were more comfortable, 1/2 the price and IDENTICAL to the originals. LOVE THEM! If I were you I would get them in both colors since they are on sale!

the leather quality is really great and the measurements are accurate. i’m 5’2″ and usually wear a size 7, but the 6.5 fits perfectly and hits about an inch below my knee. it’s tight-fitting, but there’s enough room to tuck a pair of skinny jeans in them. i love that the soles have enough friction to prevent slipping. these boots are the perfect simple yet classy riding boot!

I love these! They are comfortable and really classy looking. However, the shaft is a little on the narrow side, which I love for wearing w/skirts because my legs look slim, but the shaft is too narrow to tuck skinny jeans into (and I don’t have big calves).
