This bootee is a reproduction of the contract Jefferson Bootee issued during the Civil War. The Bootee was issued to all men in the infantry, artillery, and cavalry.
This reproduction is made with unlined, flesh side out, heavily waxed leather. The soles are double thick and pegged with two rows of interlocking wood pegs. Steel heel plates are also available.

Light Mounted Boot
The Light Mounted Boot was worn by the cavalry, artillerymen, and officers of the Civil War. It is an authentic reproduction of original foot wear of that time.
The boot is made with unlined, flesh side (rough side) out, heavily waxed leather. The uppers are hand sewed with linen thread. There are 2 layers of sole leather with two rows of interlocking wood pegs. Steel plates are also available upon request.
Confederate Shoe
This is a confederate shoe which is my reproduction from a pair worn bt PVT M. Page Lapham in the Washington Artillery of New Orleans. The originals are shown in the book Echoes of Glory.
